Brendan Rodgers has explained that he believes a deal may be too complicated, something   Manchester United would need to untangle.
“I think that looks like it is probably going to be too complicated,” said Rodgers when quizzed about Slimani joining another club in this transfer window.
"There is a curiosity in him, but he is there at Monaco and due to be there for the term. I’m not sure if anything will happen on that or not, but it will just make it a little bit complicated.”
The Nigeria international is a predatory player in the opposition penalty box and has the potential to make Manchester United more clinical in front of goal.

Slimani is currently on loan from Leicester City to Monaco but it remains to be seen whether the Algerian would be available to move to Old Trafford for the second half of the campaign.
Manchester United lost 2-0 to Burnley on Wednesday night in a disappointing performance and result, with the club back in action this Sunday with an FA Cup clash against Tranmere Rovers.
