Premier League: Man Utd consider the move to finally sign £59.5million star

Man Utd was heavily linked with Bruno Fernandes in the summer transfer window but the Portuguese international eventually stayed with Sporting CP.
Now, the Primeira Liga star is once again in the limelight and reports suggest that Manchester United is considering a move to finally sign him. Football fans from around the world can purchase Premier League Football Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Goal report

According to Goal, the Red Devils are looking to sign a creative midfielder in the winter transfer window and a few top players have been in the focus.

It is mentioned that Eriksen and Maddison were top targets but the Danish star could join Inter Milan and the England international might not leave Leicester until the summer.
In such a scenario Manchester United is once again considering the capture of Bruno Fernandes, who signed a new contract with the Lions back in November.
Even after agreeing on the new deal, which improved his wages but did not alter the contract duration (2023) or the release clause renowned Portuguese source A Bola via Sport Witness did not rule out the attacking midfielder’s departure in the middle of the campaign and claimed that a move worth 70 million euros (£59.5million) could be enough to get his signing done.
The 25-year-old star was in superb form for Sporting CP last term. In all competitions, he directly contributed to 50 goals in just 53 appearances and helped his team win two cup titles.
Moreover, he was part of the Portugal team that won the UEFA Nations League last year. For the senior international side so far, he has scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists in 19 appearances under the management of Fernando Santos.
In the current campaign for his club, so far, in 23 games the former Serie A attacker has netted 13 goals and provided as many assists.
He has been one of the stars in this season’s Europa League having scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists in just 5 appearances thus far. Sporting will face Istanbul Basaksehir in the Round of 32.

Man Utd go back to Bruno Fernandes

Man Utd is reconsidering a move for Sporting Lisbon attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes, as they miss out on their prime targets.

According to a report in Goal, Fernandes is moving up Manchester United’s shortlist as they have failed to sign Erling Haaland. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had expected to bring the 19-year-old striker in from RB Salzburg but he has instead joined Borussia Dortmund after extensive work from the German side.
The 25-year-old Portuguese playmaker would be expected to step into the void left by Paul Pogba's unspecified injury, which could see the Frenchman out of first-team action for several months.
Added to this, Scott McTominay is also injured, which leaves Manchester United down to Andreas Pereira, Fred, and Nemanja Matic. Youngster James Garner has been given limited time under Solskjaer so he would not be ready for any first-team action regularly.
United have also had an interest in Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United but a move in the summer broke down. They have failed to land Christian Eriksen from Spurs, with the Danish playmaker set for a £20 million move to Italian side Inter Milan.

James Maddison

James Maddison is another target for Manchester United, but the club believes they have more chance of signing him in the summer. There was speculation recently of a part-exchange offer to Leicester of Jesse Lingard and £45 million, but it is unclear why Leicester would want a deal worth just £25 million in total.

Man Utd has sent their scouts to extensively research potential options at the biggest clubs in Portugal hinting that they have been caught on the back foot in January yet again.
The club close to the top four but has failed to find the consistency to mount a serious challenge and Solskjaer is known to want a couple of signings before the window closes.
