Tensions flared between the forwards in their 3-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor when Salah opted to shoot instead of passing to his team-mate when he was better placed.
Mane was incensed with the Egyptian and had to be calmed down by other players when he was substituted, suggesting an underlying issue with the pair - who finished as joint top goal scorers last season.
Both stars attempted to play down rumors of a rift following the game, with Mane claiming the problem was 'behind us', and Klopp insisted he dealt with the situation swiftly by bringing both players into his office separately for a 'heart-to-heart'.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, the German boss said: 'In the world of football, it looks so big; it's like, "Oh, my god, how can you do it?" 'But I just spoke to them.'
Mane himself had tried to clear the air last year and explained that he was simply frustrated because he wanted the team to score as many as possible to give them the edge over title rivals Man City.
The 27-year-old had reacted angrily as he was substituted towards the closing stages of the Burnley game and threw his jacket on the floor. But the forward had still been stewing over his clash with Salah and was not venting after being withdrawn.
Klopp talk
He said. 'I feel a little bit frustrated because it is football and you want to score more goals you can see Man City score eight, six, seven. 'It can happen, he didn't see me and I was frustrated. We are really, really good friends. It is forgotten, all behind us.'
Following on from last season, Salah and Mane are again the leading scorers for Liverpool as the pair fire the team towards a likely Premier League title. Mane is edging Salah in the charts with 15 strikes, with the Egyptian on 14 for the season so far.
