gossip from across the continent.
Inter join race for Aubameyang
Inter Milan look set to rival Barcelona for the signing of
Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Mirror reports.
The Gunners are facing up to the possibility of having to
sell their top scorer after Aubameyang reportedly pulled out of contract talks
with, telling the club that he wanted to win trophies.
That has alerted some of Europe’s major clubs to his
availability, with Inter understood to be watching developments closely.
The player will likely favour a move to the Nou Camp,
although Arsenal won’t be looking to sell their striker this month.
Chelsea eyeing up Dembele
Chelsea is considering trying to sign Lyon striker Moussa
Dembele during this month’s transfer window, according to Sky Sports.
Frank Lampard sees similarities between Dembele, who has
scored 25 goals since moving to France from Celtic, and former Blues striker
Didier Drogba.
And with Chelsea’s transfer ban lifted, as well as Olivier
Giroud and Michy Batshuayi looking likely to leave, Dembele could be the next
man through the door at Stamford Bridge.
New deal on the table for Ronaldo
Juventus are planning to offer a contract extension to
Cristiano Ronaldo, with the new deal keeping him at the club until 2023,
according to Corriere Dello Sport (via Mail Online).
Ronaldo believes he has got plenty left to offer and is
interested in extending his contract even beyond 2023 after holding talks with
his agent Jorge Mendes.
Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici has taken Ronaldo’s
thoughts into account and is set to offer him a three-year deal, which would
take him up to the age of 38, with the view of an additional 12 months.
Inter prepare an offer for Emerson
Inter Milan are prepared to offer Chelsea £25m for Emerson
Palmieri, but any move would depend on whether Frank Lampard can find a
replacement in January, according to the Telegraph.
Emerson and fellow left-back Marcos Alonso have fallen out of
favour under Lampard, although a departure for either would leave the Blues
short of options.
Juventus are also understood to be interested in the
25-year-old, although Inter is considered the more likely destination should a
move go through.
