Timo Werner, Jadon Sancho, Fyodor Chalov and Wilfried Zaha
RB Leipzig striker Timo
Werner is joined by Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho CSKA Moscow’s Fyodor
Chalov and Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.
Chelsea is also looking at RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner,
Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, and Fyodor Chalov of CSKA Moscow and Crystal
Palace star Wilfried Zaha.
Werner has been a
consistent scorer in the Bundesliga over the past four seasons notching 84
goals in his last 138 league outings.
The 23-year-old Germany
international could opt to leave Leipzig in favor of a new challenge, but their
position at the top of the league table could lead to him staying put.
Dortmund’s Sancho is
almost certain to have left the Westfalenstadion by the start of the new season
having fallen out with manager Lucien Favre with links to Chelsea growing over
the past few months.
The 19-year-old is
likely to cost in the region of £100million with Dortmund under no real
pressure to sell with Manchester United and Real Madrid another possible
destination.
CSKA Moscow’s Chalov
has scored six goals in 27 outings this season after managing 17 in 37last time out.
The 21-year-old could
provide back-up to Tammy Abraham as Chelsea look to secure Champions League
qualification over Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham.
Lampard about Zaha
Lampard directed
responded to rumors surrounding Zaha earlier this week as links begin to swirl.
The Ivory Coast international came close to a move to both Arsenal and Everton
in the summer as he plans for his future with Palace aware that they could be
forced to let him leave.
He claimed: “I would
not talk about Zaha and the idea of that deal is something I have never even
considered.
"As I say I would
not talk about Zaha because he is not a player of ours. “If we have to do
business we will do it in the way we see fit to try and make us better.
“That is behind closed
doors as opposed to just announcing who we might want to bring in.”
Next up for Chelsea is
the visit of Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup before they welcome Burnley in the
Premier League next weekend.
