Jamie Carragher names Premier League Team of the Decade just one Liverpool star

Jamie Carragher has named his Premier League Team of the Decade, with only one current Liverpool star featured.
With the end of the decade, pundits and former players have been reminiscing on the past decade and the best footballers to have graced the Premier League. Football supporters from around the world can buy Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its wonderful actions.
Manchester City has dominated the past 10 years, winning four Premier League titles, while Chelsea and Manchester United won two apiece along with Leicester’s historic campaign.
The English top-flight has seen some of the world’s best talent come and go over the years with the likes of Robin van Persie, Steven Gerrard and Vincent Kompany earlier in the decade.
Now the league has players such as Mohamed Salah, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Harry Kane among several others taking the spotlight. And Carragher has taken on the unenviable task of selecting an all-time 11 from the past decade.
Sports pundit Gary Neville talk
The Liverpool legend wasn’t alone as he went up against fellow Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville. The pair both went with the same back five, with United goalkeeper David de Gea in goal.
Pablo Zabaleta and Cesar Azpilicueta occupied the full-back roles with Kompany holding one of the Centre-back spots alongside Virgil van Dijk as the sole current Liverpool representative.
Further forward was where Neville and Carragher differed, with the latter going for a more conventional three of N’Golo Kante, Yaya Toure, and David Silva. Sergio Aguero leads the line in Carragher’s attack with Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale either side of the Argentine.
Bale’s inclusion was met with some skepticism by Neville, with the Wales international leaving Tottenham in 2013. But Carragher defended his decision for the pure impact Bale had during his final years at White Hart Lane.

"The reason I went for Bale is that he wasn't in the league for a long time across the full decade, but he won PFA player of the year twice and young player of the year," he said.
"It's a big thing to win PFA Player of the Year. To do it twice in three years is unbelievable, and it then got him the move to Real Madrid for the world record fee.”
"I think what he did in those three or four years, being the best player in the league for two out of three years, is something special."
