Subbuteo is back with a brand new England Euro Cup 2020 set

The exemplary tabletop game is set for restoration with the greatest advertising effort for a long time. The table-top football match-up that once flaunted 7,000,000 players overall is back with another uncommon England national groupset.
Subbuteo, the famous Flick to Kick game that dominated dining room tables and floors for decades before modern computer games saturated the market, is staging a comeback. Euro Cup fans can purchase England Euro Cup Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
Hasbro has teamed up with toy Corporation University Games to prelaunch Subbuteo in the UK with the game's largest promoting campaign for 40 years.

A new Subbuteo box set will be launched in April featuring the England Euro 2020 national team and unlike the generic brown-haired players of the past; the new players will feature modern hairstyles and even different cultured boots in the reboot of the game.
The new set features the England national team badge and will be launched in the run-up to Euro 2020. The set will be priced at £30 and will go on sale at Argos in April.
Inside are players that look similar to the likes of Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, and Harry Maguire, with more detail included in the set than classic Subbuteo players.

Richard Wells

Richard Wells, Managing Director of University Games: “The response we experienced when we first re-introduced Subbuteo was phenomenal and we cannot wait to see the reaction to this supreme generation of product.
The innovative marketing campaign is set to both introduce the iconic game to younger generations as well as reignite the passion for this iconic game amongst the long term faithful fans of Subbuteo.”
The new relaunch includes a TV advertising campaign and has been labeled Subbuteo's biggest marketing campaign since the brand's peak in the 1980s.
Subbuteo was first launched in 1947 as a mail-order game and has since charmed generations of football fans.
Thousands of teams were produced featuring famous kits from England and abroad, while accessories such as floodlights, grandstands, and scoreboards were popular additions to the range.

A factory in Tunbridge Wells, Kent was opened to cope with the growing demand for the game in the early days and it was played by up to seven million players at its peak and was endorsed by the likes of Bill Shankly, Alex Ferguson, and Bobby Moore.
The game was launched in 2012 with the promise of new sets but has once again dropped from the shelves of high street shops in recent years.
There remains a thriving second-hand market for Subbuteo teams with some of the rarer examples of classic teams fetching upwards of £100 on resale sites.
