Celtic and Rangers plus Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs make signings

It's expected Bnei Yehuda midfielder Ismaila Soro will seal a £2million move to Celtic in the coming days, amid claims he's set to have his medical in Israel on Monday. The Hoops also watched Dundee United's Lawrence Shankland score against Hibs on Sunday but boss Robbie Neilson is adamant he's going nowhere. Football fans from around the world can buy online Europa League Tickets to enjoy its stunning performances.
That's twice in as many weeks the Premiership champions have cast an eye over the 25-goal Scotland international.
Victor Wanyama was namechecked by Neil Lennon this week but he's skeptical a return for the Tottenham midfielder is possible.
Celtic have already added Patryk Klimala up top and they've also been linked with Stoke City's Tyrese Campbell, as have Rangers.
Over at Ibrox and Steven Gerrard is likely to ship a few more players out of his squad before the window closes. Jamie Murphy, Greg Docherty, and Matt Polster could be among them, with Glenn Middleton also likely to go out on-loan again.
The Ibrox club insists, however, that James Tavernier, Borna Barisic and Alfredo Morelos will be staying put.
Aberdeen is fending off interest from New York Red Bulls in Sam Cosgrove. The Dons have tied up St Johnstone's Matty Kennedy on a pre-contract but have held talks over bringing him to Pittodrie this month instead.

Bowyer slams Taylor offer
Charlton boss Lee Bowyer insists the club rejected a ‘ridiculous’ offer for striker Lyle Taylor.
The frontman has been linked with Rangers as he enters the final six months of his deal with the Addicks.
Bowyer slammed an alleged approach from an unnamed club, made last week, for the 29-year-old.
I hope (we won’t sell him). Someone came in with a silly offer on Friday. That was a player for player, there was no money involved. It was a ridiculous offer.
This is something that is out of my hands. I’m not the money person. I’m not controlling that side of things. All I can control is that we keep working hard and trying to win games.
Cavani hands in a transfer request
Edinson Cavani has handed in a transfer request at Paris Saint-Germain, according to the club’s sporting director.
Leonardo claims they’ve already rejected an offer from Atletico Madrid for the Uruguayan striker.
But it appears he’s now made his desire to leave official.
We’ve always said the same thing. We were hoping he would stay with the club, but today (Sunday) he asked to leave.
We’re studying the situation. We’ve had a proposal from Atletico Madrid, but that proposal was not commensurate with the player’s value.
Fernandes latest
Bruno Fernandes has been included in Sporting Lisbon’s squad to face Braga amid claims he’s ‘desperate’ to join Manchester United.
United are set to resume talks with the Primeira Liga outfit over the midfielder despite an apparently large discrepancy between the two clubs’ valuation.
Reports in Portugal claim Fernandes is extremely keen for the move to happen and was angered when Sporting threw out a bid last week.

Ismaila Soro to Celtic transfer latest as player's legislatures and Bnei Yehuda in financial dispute

The midfielder is expected to complete a move to Glasgow but it has been held up due to agents wanting a share of the transfer fee. Celtic's move for Ismaila Soro has reportedly hit a snag due to a dispute between his club and his representatives. Football fans from around the world can buy online Europa League Tickets to enjoy its stunning performances.
The Ivory Coast midfielder played his final game for Bnei Yehuda in the Israeli Cup win over Hapoel Afula on Wednesday. Celtic has already agreed terms with the player and his club but they are stalling because of a dispute between Bnei Yehuda and Soro's agents.
His representatives are believed to own a percentage of the player and are negotiating the amount they will get from the transfer fee.

A statement from Bnei Yehuda said: "It's impossible to know at the moment whether Ismaila Soro will be in the squad for our next game against Hapoel Kfar Saba on Monday or not."
Celtic were expecting to announce Soro as Neil Lennon's next signing this week after their £3.5 million capture of Polish striker Patryk Klimala . And Bnei Yehuda boss Elisha Levy revealed he believed the deal was done at the start of the week. But the hold-up behind the scenes has dragged the deal out.
The Light Blues have been linked with several targets this month as Gerrard and sporting director Ross Wilson try to strengthen the squad for their title challenge with Celtic.

Celtic and Rangers plus Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs eye signings

We're past the half-way point of the January transfer window and it could be a busy fortnight for Scottish clubs.
Celtic have already landed Polish striker Patryk Klimala in a £3.5m deal, but their business isn't over yet as they are close to signing £2m midfielder Ismaila Soro. Football fans from around the world can buy online Europa League Tickets to enjoy its stunning performances.
The Bnei Yehuda man announced he is Parkhead bound but Record Sport exclusively revealed this morning that the Premiership champions are still looking to resolve some issues before the deal is a go.
Rangers have had a quiet start to the window with incomings but there might be a few bodies going in the other direction.
Steven Gerrard has been vocal in his desire to get some of his fringe players off the books and Jamie Murphy, Greg Docherty, Glenn Middleton, and Matt Polster could leave before the end of the month.
The Light Blues will be hoping to keep the likes of Borna Barisic, James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos at the club, however.
Hibs are looking to strengthen their midfield after Stevie Mallan's injury, while Daniel Stendel will be hoping to bring in a few fresh faces at Hearts to put his own stamp on the club.
17-year-old Aaron Hickey has also been linked with a shock move to AC Milan.
Aberdeen has landed their two top targets in Dylan McGeouch and Matty Kennedy on a pre-contract but Derek McInnes has hinted more deals could be completed at Pittodrie.
Benkovic transfer warning
Phlip Cocu has warned Leicester City the time is now to do a deal to bring Filip Benkovic to Derby County.
The Dutchman is keen on the former Celtic loan but admits the Rams are running out of time to come to an agreement.
It has to be this week because if not, we don’t have time. We always have more than one target, of course.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers revealed last summer he viewed Celtic as the perfect option for Benkovic to continue his development but no deal has been forthcoming.
The Croatia international has been limited to just one senior appearance this season.
Leicester braced for Chilwell exit
Leicester is ‘braced’ for Ben Chilwell to leave the club in the summer as Chelsea target the highly-rated left-back.
The Daily Mail claims that Frank Lampard’s side is willing to wait until the end of the season to make their move for the England international.
And Brendan Rodgers is preparing for life without him as the same report suggests they have lined up a replacement in Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand.

United wait on Bruno
Bruno Fernandes’ move to Manchester United remains up in the air despite the Sporting Lisbon star agreeing on personal terms over a switch to Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder is still expected to complete a switch to England during the January transfer window but both clubs remained locked in signing talks.
Sporting Lisbon wants £65m for a player but reports in Portugal claim United are offering a £42m upfront with add-ons which could land Lisbon £68m.
But the Primeira Liga big-hitters are insisting on at least £55m upfront which leaves a £13m discrepancy as things currently stand.
Inter Milan make opening Eriksen offer
Inter Milan have reportedly made an opening offer to Spurs for Christian Eriksen.
The midfielder has made it clear he will not be signing a new deal with the Premier League side when his contract expires in the summer.
That means he could leave for free as Tottenham look to agree on a fee with the Italian side for him to leave in January.

McCall explains Rudden deal
Ian McCall insists he isn’t worried about any clauses in Zak Rudden’s Partick Thistle contract.
Thistle paid an undisclosed fee for the former Falkirk loanee and will be hoping he can fire them up the table.
Clubs abroad often have ‘buyback’ clauses in their deals when they let a highly-rated youth player go and it appears like Rangers have done the same.
McCall admits he’s just delighted to land the striker who starred with Falkirk.
It’s a really really exciting signing,
It was a kind of nominal fee with various things to do with Rangers, we’re delighted he’s here and we think our fans will love him.
There are a couple of things in it, yeah. I think it’s a pretty normal thing, particularly the sell-on, I think we’ve got that with [Liam] Lindsay and [Aidan] Fitzpatrick, who went to Norwich City.
I think there is some sort of clause in it, but that doesn’t trigger for 18 months or so. We’re very comfortable with the deal and so are Rangers and so is the boy.
Ultimately, the deal will not matter unless he does really well. So, if he does really well for us, and then it clicks in, then we’ve all been winners.”

Patryk Klimala makes Serie A transfer claim as the Celtic new boy opens up on title hopes

The £3.5m arrival from Jagiellonia BiaƂystok insisted his heart was set on signing for Neil Lennon's side. Patryk Klimala has revealed he snubbed Serie A to team up with Odsonne Edouard and fire Celtic to Nine-in-a-Row. Football fans from around the world can buy online Europa League Tickets to enjoy its stunning performances.
Hitman Klimala was attracting interest in Italy and Germany as well as from Celtic’s Europa League rivals Copenhagen but jumped at the chance to jump on the Parkhead Premiership title trail.
The 21-year-old frontman was unveiled on Wednesday and said: “I feel it is a big achievement for me to come to Scotland and sign for Celtic. I have always dreamed of playing for a big club. Celtic is a huge club with a lot of history.
“I had a few offers from other clubs but I never even thought of moving elsewhere as soon as I learned Celtic was interested. I made my mind up straight away to come here. I’m very happy about it.
“There were big clubs from Italy and other countries interested in me, but I don’t want to mention their names.
“I feel my style of football is more suited to Celtic. So this is the best choice for me to make.
“I would describe myself as a strong and fast player; I feel I am best suited to Celtic and Scottish football. I think I will do well here.”
Klimala insisted he doesn’t see it as a straight-up fight with Edouard for the Celtic striker role.
The youngster who has rattled eight goals in 17 games this season – is determined to scrap to break into the side but he’s convinced he can play alongside the Frenchman as a deadly duo.
Klimala said: “I’m prepared for a fight but I don’t see Edouard in any shape of form as my enemy.
“Obviously I’m going to fight to get into the team.
“If I’m going to play alongside him, I’ll support him. If I’m going to be on the bench, I’ll still do my best for the team when I get the chance to play.
“Whatever is best for the team, I will adjust. It will be up to the coach.”
Klimala is aware the hefty price tag will bring huge expectations from Hoops fans but he insisted he can handle the heat in the race to land nine titles on the spint.

He said: “Before I came here, I knew all about the run to this point in the club’s history.
“There obviously owe to be a lot of challenges.
“But after training for two days, without being overconfident, I can see there is a chance to achieve this. But it’s going to take a lot of hard work.
“In terms of the pressure here, I know the fans at Celtic support the club and that is not going to overwhelm me.
“I’m going to do my best to get the fans’ support in every game.”
Klimala is out to hit the ground running and Celtic is continuing to chase other signing targets.
Midfielder Ismaili Soro is set to say his goodbyes at Israili outfit Benei Yehuda today ahead of a proposed £2m switch to Scotland in the next few days.
The champions are set to miss out on Andraz Sporar, however, with the £5m rated Slovan Bratislava striker on the verge of penning a deal with Sporting in Portugal.
Celtic made contact with the frontman before Christmas but opted to move for Klimala instead. Lennon, though, is still looking at attacking reinforcements, with Scott Sinclair and Lewis Morgan departing.
Defender Fabricio Bruno remains on the radar after finally forcing an exit from Brazilian side Cruzeiro.
The center-half took his club to court over unpaid wages and then saw a bid from Red Bull Bragantino fall through.
But reports in Brazil claim Bruno has managed to buy his way out of his contract, although Cruzeiro could still be due compensation as they will retain a percentage of his registration while Celts monitor the situation.

Premier League: Adam Lallana sends warning to his Liverpool teammates

Reds midfielder Adam Lallana has stated that Liverpool needs to stay grounded despite the fact they are at the top of the Premier League table. You can buy Premier League Tickets from our website, around the world to enjoy its terrific performances.
Liverpool’s 1-0 victory away from home against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend has given the club a 14-point lead at the top of the table. The Reds have only dropped points in one fixture this season, which was the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford back in October.
Lallana talk
However, despite Liverpool’s current form, Lallana has stated that his teammates need to stay grounded. Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website, Lallana said: “It’s on us to keep grounded.
“We’ve come back in there and after the game, we are speaking about how we could have seen it out better [in the game against Tottenham]. I’m sure it was entertaining for the neutral but we don’t want to be winning games relying on our goalkeeper or seeing shots go past the post. It’s a great mentality that we have, we don’t want to settle for just winning games. That’s a big reason why we are in the position we are.”
Lallana is spot on. The Reds may be in a very strong position, but you only have to remind yourself of how good Manchester City is.
They have the ability to accumulate points in a hurry, meaning the title race is far from done. However, there is a sense that this Liverpool side is much stronger than any other side that has represented the club in recent times. They should get the job done. Liverpool’s next assignment in the Premier League is Manchester United at Anfield come the weekend.

Celtic latest news: Andraz Sporar, Patryk Klimala, and Tino Kadewere

Neil Lennon is looking for new arrivals with the Premiership champions currently in Dubai for their warm-weather training camp. Celtic target Andraz Sporar’s potential move to Sporting Lisbon could be on after their manager saluted the Slovenian striker.
Jorge Silas reckons the £5m-rated Slovan Bratislava forward is the real deal as his side continues to be linked with a January window move. Football fans from around the world can buy online Europa League Tickets to enjoy its stunning performances.
Sporar is on Celtic's radar but the Slovakian club claimed last week talks have cooled over a potential move to the Premiership champions.
And now Lisbon appears ready to make their move for a player who is believed to prefer a move to Sporting.
Silas told A Bola: "I think all players targeting Sporting have to have quality.
"I know Sporar and he is quality. I also know a lot of others and if I don’t know, I’ll see, because it’s so easy these days.
"This one I know and he is a quality player. We have several possibilities and when talking about a player for Sporting then he has to have quality."
There could be better news for Neil Lennon with reports in Poland claiming the Hoops are closing in on a move for Jagiellonia forward PatrykKlimala.
Italian side Genoa is also believed to be keen on the 21-year-old but Polish outlet Przeglad Sportowy insists Celtic is back in pole position to sign the £3.5m-rated star.
They state: "The Scots have come back to the game very strongly and it cannot be ruled out that they will finalize the transfer in their own way in the coming days."
Meanwhile, Tino Kadewere's most likely next destination is Lyon - according to a report in the player's native Zimbabwe.
Celtic are believed to be among a host of sides keeping close tabs on the Le Havre forward who has scored 18 times in 20 Ligue 2 games.
Premier League sides are also on keeping close tabs on the 24-year-old and the player himself admitted a January exit could be on the cards.
He said: "I'm a player for this team and first of all I'm focusing on the next three matches.
"Anything is possible; if the club gets a nice offer then I'll reflect."

England put gambles of top-seed place at Euro 2020 in danger after surprise defeat against the Czech Republic

England has put their chance of securing a top-seed place at next summer’s European Championships in jeopardy by suffering the shock defeat against the Czech Republic. Football fans around the world can buy  England vs Croatia Tickets online to enjoy its outstanding performances.
Although England should qualify in the top spot from Group A for the finals, the slip-up in Prague could still have serious consequences for manager Gareth Southgate and his team.

They are no longer guaranteed one of the six top seedings if they win all of their remaining games and could even face the prospect of being placed in the same group as world champions France or Belgium, who are one of the tournament's favorites.
England’s nightmare scenario would be to miss out on a top seeding and be drawn from pot two in a group with either France or Belgium and Portugal, who could find themselves in pot three if they fail to beat Ukraine on Monday night.
The six top-seed places go to the countries that finish top of their qualifying groups with the best records. Belgium, Italy, and Spain all have 100 percent records, while Ukraine has not lost a game but host Portugal next.
The final two Euro 2020 seeds are likely to be contested by England, who face Bulgaria in Sofia on Monday night, Holland or Germany and Turkey or France.
Should teams finish top of their groups with identical records then the final top seeds will be determined by goal difference. England currently has a plus 14 goal difference, ahead of France (plus 13), Turkey (plus five), Holland (plus 11) and Germany (plus 11).

After traveling to Bulgaria, England complete their qualifying next month with a home game against Montenegro and a trip to Kosovo, who are still competing for second place in Group A and scored three goals against Southgate’s side at Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium
Failure to win all of their remaining three games would almost certainly result in England missing out on one of the six top seeds when the finals draw is made on November 30, but three victories may still not be enough.
The situation will further infuriate Southgate, who only last month warned of the need for his team to finish qualifying with a 100 percent record.
Writing in the matchday programmed ahead of last month’s game against Bulgaria at Wembley, Southgate said: “The seeding for Euro 2020 will be decided by your record in the qualifying campaign, so every game is important. If you look at the other groups, there are some teams with a 100 percent record, but we really have to take it a step at a time.”

Cesc Fabregas names Liverpool star Sadio Mane the best in the Premier League

Monaco midfielder Cesc Fabregas has picked out Liverpool’s Sadio Mane as the best player in the Premier League. You can purchase Premier League Tickets safely from our website, around the world to enjoy its superb performances.

The 27-year-old has been sensational since his move to Anfield in 2016 from Southampton and has gone up another level in the past year. He’s been in dazzling form this campaign, with 15 goals and 11 assists in 28 games across all competitions.
The Senegal international is playing a key role in Jurgen Klopp’s team this year as they run away with it at the top of the Premier League table, as well as winning the Champions League last season.
Fabregas, who is a Premier League legend from his time with Chelsea and Arsenal,
“Mane for me,” Fabregas replied on Twitter when questioned the best player in the Premier League.

TBR’s View:
Mane certainly deserves to be in the conversation for best in the Premier League based off his scintillating 2019 and there is no reason why he can’t emulate that this year.
The speed machine is unstoppable for defenses when he gets into full flight, but it’s the way that Klopp has turned him into a goal machine that has elevated his game.
But the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, and N’Golo Kante are other star names worth throwing into the mix for the best around in the English game right now.
Klopp, meanwhile, insists he is not upset with his players after they threw away a three-goal lead at Anfield. ‘It’s better to learn the lessons during the game than talk about it after it,’ said the Liverpool manager.

Ryan Christie and the Celtic vs Ranger's compliance officer intrusion that's baffling Keith Jackson

The Celtic midfielder's case is set to be heard at Hampden on Monday afternoon. The post-Old Firm panty wetting will continue today when Ryan Christie shoves a jotter down his pants and takes a seat on Hampden’s naughty step.
Exactly why head-mistress Clare Whyte called him up in the first place remains a source of considerable resentment inside Parkhead even though TV footage clearly showed Christie did take his ball-juggling skills to a whole new level in a quick fumble with Alfredo Morelos. Football fans from around the world can buy online Celtic Football Tickets to enjoy its stunning performances.
Exactly how Whyte intends to prove that Christie’s slip of the hand was intentional and carried out with malice is another thing entirely and it’s more than likely that Celtic’s legal team will drive a horse and carriage through her case. It wouldn’t be the first time Whyte has been forced to wind her neck in over such matters.
The lawyers will argue and not without justification that this was a split-second, reflex action which occurred in the hundred miles an hour clattering chaos of a Glasgow derby. They will point out also that it bears little or no relation to the more deliberate and premeditated grope which saw Hearts striker Steven MacLean hit with a two-game ban for grappling with Eboue Kouassi’s crown jewels during a league cup semi-final at Murrayfield.
And they will be absolutely right about that too.
All of which makes the basis for Whyte’s intervention all the more perplexing because, up until this point in the season, the SFA compliance officer has been keeping a much lower profile than she did upon her appointment to the hot seat at the start of 2018/19.
It felt for a while like Scotland’s top-flight matches were being re-referred every Monday morning that Whyte was employing a revolving door policy to the disciplinary procedures with hearings being held on a one-in-one-out basis.
Trial by Sports scene became the catchall phrase to cover this confusion and the almost scattergun approach to selecting which player ought to be dragged up next and for what offence.
The noise over this issue became so deafening even SFA chief executive Ian Maxwell felt forced to poke his head out the office door and issue a statement calling for calm from the other end of the corridor.
Maxwell spoke out shortly after the resumption of hostilities which followed last January’s shut-down and at a time when Celtic’s top brass was back channelling the nuclear notion of recruiting ‘neutral’ referees from outwith our country’s borders. It all became so absurd that Scottish football could not move for men in tin foil hats.
Let’s not forget, much of this madness was created after a first touchy-feely moment involving Morelos and Christie at Ibrox at the end of December when the Colombian helped himself to a handful of the Celt’s shorts.
Almost exactly one year ago today Celtic issued a statement expressing the club’s ‘surprise’ after it was revealed the SFA had no plans to go after Morelos, even though it had been argued he could have been sent off for his part in three separate flashpoints during that one match.
That is all escalated into a full-blown crisis within a few weeks was no surprise to anyone who has been around the game up here for any length of time. And the glaring inconsistencies coming out of Whyte’s office were largely to blame for the foaming-mouthed furore.
It’s almost as if someone chose to have a word in her shell-like before the start of this campaign and advised against the reintroduction of this scorched earth disciplinary policy.
So it does seem odd Christie’s brief brush with Morelos’ manhood will today come under the SFA microscope as Whyte has no way of knowing for sure if the charge will stand up to any kind of scrutiny.
Others on the same sixth floor will be keeping their fingers crossed that this does not signal a change of direction for 2020.

If Whyte has rediscovered her appetite for conflict then she may well also be considering asking Morelos around for a chat about the nuances of South American hand-gestures.
And that’s another conversation which can only end badly. After all, last April, when the SFA attempted to throw the book at Celtic skipper Scott Brown for aiming a more traditionally
Scottish salute at the Rangers end of Parkhead it was booted into touch by lawyers and ridiculed by Hoops manager Neil Lennon as a ridiculous, trumped-up charge.
Brown stood accused at the time of ‘failing to act in the best interests of Scottish football’.
Which was ironic in itself given that Whyte only had to look across the office floor to see all manner of guilty parties where that particular crime is concerned She has done well of late to keep her nose out of everyone else’s business. But she’ll be extremely fortunate if Celtic’s legal team don’t give her another bloody one today.
