United chase Fernandes

The Portuguese midfielder was a target for the club in the summer transfer window, although a move never materialized.
However, according to Goal, United will target Fernandes again with Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay both ruled out with injury.
Fernandes signed a new contract with Sporting in November that runs through until 2023 and saw his release clause increased to €100 million (£85m/$111m).
Premier League duo chase Giroud

Chelsea striker Giroud has been linked with a move to Aston Villa and Newcastle United on loan.
According to The Telegraph, Newcastle made contact with Chelsea last week to discuss a loan move for the experienced striker, who will see his contract at Stamford Bridge expire this summer.
Meanwhile, according to The Athletic, Villa boss, Smith is keen to make a move for Giroud, who is seen as their first-choice target after an injury to Wesley.
Chelsea is unlikely to sanction a move for Giroud, either on loan or permanently until a replacement is sourced.
Burnley receive Bundesliga interest for Gibson
Bundesliga duo Eintracht Frankfurt and Cologne are interested in signing Ben Gibson from Burnley.
The former Middlesbrough defender joined the club in the summer of 2018 but hasn't been able to hold down a regular starting spot.
The two German sides are believed to want to sign the 26-year-old on loan, according to The Mail.
However, that's unlikely after Sean Dyche said: "It is highly unlikely that anyone leaves and if they are leaving there will be a reason why that fits either our club or why we can affect that situation."

Premier League: Micah Richards predicts where Liverpool FC and Man City will finish

Micah Richards is supporting Manchester City to beat Liverpool FC to the Premier League title once more this season.
The Reds are presently leading the way at the topmost of the Premier League table after having made an unbelievable start to the new campaign under Jürgen Klopp. Football fans can book Premier League Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

Liverpool FC is six points strong of Manchester City with Klopp’s side having secured all but one of their opening 11 games in the highest flight.
Manchester City, for the time being, has already misplaced two games and drawn one in the Premier League this term to leave Klopp’s men in the driving bench. The two squads will do battle when Manchester City travel to Anfield on Sunday evening.
Liverpool FC bonce into the game knowing that a victory would boost them nine points perfect while Pep Guardiola’s side will aim to amend the Reds’ lead down to just three points with a win:
On the other hand despite Liverpool FC’s supremacy so far this season past Manchester City star Richards is tipping the sky blues to recollect their title for a third conventional season this term.
Talking in an interview Richards said: “I think City will conquest the Premier League this season. They have made it tough for themselves with the existing situation at center back but City always does things the tough way.”

I would never back in contradiction of City because the quality that they have caught in the team can turn a game on its head and the manager identifies how to get the superlative out of every player.
De Bruyne was a massive miss last season but now he is fully fit he will be like a new player and is pivotal in the Way City like to play.
I have to give respect to Liverpool because they are playing actually well but if they pick up damage to one of their key men then the team misplaces some stability.
If Salah Mane or Firmino get damaged it would immensely impact the way they play and make it tough for them to sustain that level. Liverpool FC lost out on the title by a single point previous term after they ended second behind Manchester City.

Premier League: Keita injury updates Fabinho to drop out? Liverpool foreseen lineup at Aston Villa

After making 11 variations against Arsenal in the EFL Cup in the middle of the week, Jürgen Klopp should have plenty of fresh feet to select from as Liverpool travel to Aston Villa in the Premier League. Football fans can book Premier League Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

Dean Smith's side goes into the match in 15th place in the league but has only missing once in the five competitions. With Manchester City to come at Anfield next week, the Reds must take three points here to sustain their benefit of Pep Guardiola's men.
The reality that the Reds have not mislaid to a team outside of the top six in the league then January 2018 is a massive plus and proves their ability under Klopp to control games and force consequences over the line against sides they would imagine beating.
So, who rally will Klopp tries to as he looks for three points? Here is our best supposition...
Goalkeeper
Caoimhin Kelleher prepared himself a hero in midweek and Adrián caught the hearts and minds of plenty of Liverpool followers in his spell in the net but if it is anybody other than Alisson Becker somewhat has gone terribly wrong.
Left-back
It will be Andy Robertson. Of course, it will be. What else were you imagining?
Centre-backs
With Joel Matip out damaged for a few weeks according to Klopp Dejan Lovren will continue to companion Virgil van Dijk at the center of defense. Klopp has made clear in previous weeks that the Croatian is onward of Joe Gomez in the pecking order.

Number six
Fabinho is only one yellow card away from a one-match Premier League prohibition meaning if he plays and is warned against Villa, he would not be authorized to play against Manchester City next Sunday.
Klopp was non-committal when inquired about whether the Brazilian would begin in his Friday media discussion at Millwood but the German is a manager who favors to operate at the moment and make assured of the points now rather than second-guessing for the upcoming.
Number eights
Alex Ox lade Chamberlain recorded a stunning goal against his previous club on Wednesday evening but admitted afterward that his performance had been underwhelming. With Naby Keita struggling with a hit picked up against the Gunners and the manager saying the Reds do not know yet.
When he will be fit to coming back Klopp will likely revert to the pairing of Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum in the more progressive midfield positions despite criticism from some fans recently.

Right forward
Some might think that Mohamed Salah is out of form to some extent but the Egyptian's five goals and three contributions in ten arrivals this season say otherwise. Villa Park would be a new ground for him to get onto the score sheet at.
Left forward
Sadio Mané may well be Liverpool's best performance player so far in 2019/20 and his capability to cut in onto his right foot around the penalty area might well help find a way through the space between Villa right back Fréderic Guilbert and Bjorn Engels.

Center forward
Roberto Firmino's numbers might be less imposing than Salah and Mane so far this term with 3 Premier League goals but his involvement in the variability and rhythm of the attack has debatably increased again.

Premier League: Mark Lawrenson states his forecast for Arsenal v Wolves

Mark Lawrenson predicts Arsenal will beat Wolves on Saturday evening. Mark Lawrenson is supporting Arsenal to beat Wolves at The Emirates regardless of the northern London side’s issues.
The Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace in northern London previous weekend afterward Arsenal worthwhile a 2-0 lead to drop points in the top four competition. Football fans can book Premier League Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

Emery’s side permitted a two-goal benefit to slip twice in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night time as Arsenal vanished to Liverpool FC on penalties following a 5-5 draw in usual time.
Arsenal has only managed to success two of their previous six Premier League games to fall out of the top four at the expenditure of their unpleasant competitors Chelsea FC.
The Gunners will take on a Wolves sideways that is undefeated in their last five outings, having lifted themselves out of the demotion zone and up to 12th position in the table.
Wolves were 2-0 champions in contradiction of defending Premier League champions Manchester City at The Etihad previous month. Past Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson is still self-confident that Arsenal can secure three points in contrast to Wolves even though their recent irregular forms.
“Wolves only smoothed late on in previous weekend’s draw at Newcastle but they perform well sufficient to have acquired that game and had a decent late opportunity to take the points also,” Lawrenson said.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side departed out of the Carabao Cup at Aston Villa on Wednesday nightfall but in the Premier League they are on a handy five-game undefeated run and their deprived start to the season is absolutely behind them.
Arsenal has caught some problems including what to do with Granit Xhaka afterward his fall out with the Gunners followers but their household form is not typically one of them.

That is why it was especially amazing that they let a 2-0 top slip at home to Crystal Palace the previous week. We recognize they have defensive unpredictability but we realize it less often at Emirates Stadium than somewhere else.
Arsenal has collected 11 points from their initial five Premier League playoffs at The Emirates only Liverpool FC and Leicester City have well records at home this time. The Gunners are four points in advance of Wolves in the Premier League board.

A Premier League start for Arsenal's Ozil and VAR to dominate the headlines again

Could we detect a little softening of Unai Emery's resolve when he said he would consider including Mesut Ozil in his squad for Arsenal's game against Wolves this weekend? There is a little more clamor for the German to be brought in from the cold after his terrific hour or so against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
One of Arsenal's many problems has been an inability to pick holes in the defense and for all his other flaws, Ozil reminded everyone at Anfield that he can still do that. Football fans can book Premier League Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

It would represent a climbdown from Emery so he might view this as exposing a weakness, but given the way, some of the Arsenal fanbases seem to have lost patience with him after last weekend's draw with Crystal Palace it might be worth a try.
Was that the start of a recovery or false dawn for Manchester United?
On a human level, it was pleasant to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer smiling after Manchester United's win over Norwich last weekend, but the necessary caveats should not only be made clear.
But shouted this was a Norwich team ravaged by injuries, second-bottom of the league, who had lost three of their previous four and had only kept one clean sheet all season.
So will that 3-1 victory at Carrow Road turn out to be the start of something more tangible, a recovery of sorts for United, or simply a game that even they couldn't fail to win?
The form of Marcus Rashford and the return of Anthony Martial will help, but this is still a deeply flawed United team who could be exposed by a Bournemouth side who looks in good touch.
How will Southampton recover from 9-0?
The basic facts are that Southampton lost a game last weekend, but the reality is that their 9-0 evisceration at the hands of Leicester City could have lasting damage for the rest of their season.
There is a theory that relegation might be preferable to the water-treading that has been happening at St Mary's in recent years, but that still feels like an extreme point of view, and of course, nobody there wants a demotion to the Championship on their conscience.

They could really have done without two trips to Manchester City after such a loss, but they emerged from the first, on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup, at least with a little dignity, if not a positive result.
Ralph Hasenhuttl's primary job this week will have been to piece his squad's morale back together, and we'll see how well he's done that when they step out on Saturday.
STATS OF THE WEEKEND
Manchester United are seeking back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since defeating Crystal Palace and Southampton in February and March. Their opponent this week, Bournemouth, will be a welcomed sight for United, the Red Devils boasting an 11-2-3 record in the all-time series. Aston Villa host Liverpool this weekend looking to snap a long drought.

The Villains have lost their last 12 matches against the Big 6 across all competitions and are winless in their last 18 against those foes. Villa's last win vs. a top-six side? April 2015 in the Premier League against Tottenham.
MAN TO WATCH: Whoever replaces Willy Boly for Wolves
There might be a few individual players more important to their teams than Willy Boly is to Wolves, but there won't be many. Boly had surgery this week on his fractured tibia, sustained before last weekend's game against Newcastle.
And will be out for a few months, leaving Nuno Espirito Santo an interesting quandary at the back. Last weekend at Newcastle he played Matt Doherty in his back three, an imperfect solution. But one he apparently deemed preferable to choosing Jesus Vallejo.

Who has only started one league game this season, when Wolves conceded five against Chelsea. Ryan Bennett is another option, but he has been in and out of the team all season, and then there's Romain Saiss. Conor Coady is really the only certainty, and it will be fascinating to see who Nuno chooses to play either side of him.
Crystal Palace vs. Leicester City
It's a little counterintuitive to think that third vs sixth should be an under-the-radar game, but it still feels odd that those two teams are Leicester and Crystal Palace.  Both sides are unexpectedly flying in this season's still nascent Premier League season albeit in different ways Leicester are the attacking free-wheelers who scored nine last weekend at Southampton.

Palace the Steady-Eddies who are in the top six despite having a negative goal difference. The varied styles could make for a terrific game.
The team that needs a bit of luck Norwich City
Not just a bit of luck Norwich City could do with buckets of the stuff, such are the severity of their injury problems. They finished last weekend's game against Manchester United with three players limping around the pitch.

Who should really have been taken off but for the fact they had already made all three of their substitutions. Add those to the six first-teamers already out, which includes their two first-choice Centre-backs.
And in part explains their dreadful defensive record. Getting through their trip to Brighton intact would mark success this weekend.
ONE THING THAT WILL DEFINITELY HAPPEN
Unless there's been a sudden re-think over the last few days, following the league-wide shambles of last weekend then VAR will continue to be a complete mess and will continue to ruin Premier League games up and down the land.
Before the bar was too high then the bar was too low, and who knows where the bar even is now. In reality, they should throw the bar away scrap VAR and write the whole thing off as a bad job.
Unfortunately, they won't VAR is here to stay and at this stage, it's only about damage-limitation how little can it make a mess of things, rather than how much it can improve the game.

Premier League: Few things to look out for this weekend

1) Revitalized Rash ford can become most wanted talisman
Manchester United’s recent form has set a new turn. The break came at a good time for United. Marcus Rashford’s performances before he went away with England were awful; he looked hopeless, and in desperate need of a rest.
Rashford always seems glad playing for England and his storming goal to open the scoring in Bulgaria has seemingly given him a huge injection of. Football fans can book Premier League Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

A strategic variation and the return of his on-field like spirit Anthony Martial have also helped out with Rashford currently playing wide left or as a splitting striker rather than an isolated No 9.
2) Villa unrecognizable from 2016 rout by Reds
Liverpool’s previous league tour to Villa Park ended in a 6-0 spanking for the hosts. Afterward, a delighted Jürgen Klopp said his team’s performance was good for the soul which was a turn of phrase not least because Villa back then, was a club whose soul seemed to have been hollowed out.
Dean Smith has an exciting team who is growing stronger. Do not be fooled by the previous week’s 3-0 loss at Manchester City, where Villa was well than the scoreline advises. Liverpool faces a serious test particularly if Jack Grealish improves from calf damage.
3) Özil’s class can still support Emery out of a hole
If Mesut Özil does not come back to Arsenal’s Premier League squad against Wolves on Saturday, he maybe never will. His performance at Anfield on Wednesday was a timely notice that, for all the obstructions, few players in the world have his capability to strip a defense.
His unplanned back flick to make Ainsley Maitland-Niles’s goal at Anfield was modern in a rich collection of matchless inventive genius. The fact he has played only 71 minutes of Premier League football this term is nearly an act of cultural damage.

And whereas he has usually been nowhere near his best under Unai Emery his performance against Liverpool might serve as an olive branch. Who knows in one final turn, a returning Ozil might even protect Emery’s job.
4) Everton and Spurs wisdom probabilities to lift the gloom
Excluding inferior league conflict in the Carabao Cup so far this season Everton has beaten Watford. The bad news is that they are not going to play one more side start with Watford until January but Marco Silva hopes to win over the Hornets will mean the mood and confidence will be different.
The act in that match, and predominantly in a terrible first half was however not so vast that Spurs won’t be seeing at this game as a chance to recover their own mood and self-assurance.
Although overall Everton has won 31% of their games against Tottenham, drawing 31% and mislaying 38%, in November they have lost 44%, drawn 44% and won just 12%.
5) Do not expect fireworks from toothless Watford
Quique Flores has wrought a comprehensive strategic renovation at Watford: from four at the back to five from a team that might barely defend to one that has conceded only one handball sponsored goal in their previous three league games from one that might rarely score to one that hardly even tries.
In the meantime, Roberto Pereira and Gerard Deulofeu are much happier outside the penalty area and tend to stay there leaving Watford blunted.
It is just as well Watford Borough Council’s huge joyful display has been set back half an hour to allow followers to make it after the game because unless Flores has been working on a different renovation they are not likely to have any fireworks to enjoy at Vicarage Road
6) Saints, to settle for a reputable thrashing at City?
There are times when the match list is downright heartless. Just ask Southampton, who have had to monitor their 9-0 downfall at home to Leicester. They got off appealing lightly with a 3-1 loss when City relaxed key players such as Kevin De Bruyne, and David Silva.
Ralph Hasenhüttl might endure a long night of the soul as he considers what a full-strength team could do to his side. City, after all, has already scored 49 goals this season. There have been thousands of football contests containing teams who would both in secret settle for a draw earlier.
7) Blades brush up by firm defensive foundations
No side has granted fewer goals than Sheffield United in the Premier League. They have let in eight a similar number as Manchester City, and one more clean sheet at home to Burnley would give them a counter puncher’s opportunity of a win that might take them fifth in the table.

United’s defensive best ever compares well to their fellow promoted sides. They have approved half as many as Aston Villa. The back three of Chris Basham John Egan and Jack O’Connell the kind of EFL loyalists who are supposed to get vertigo in the Premier League, have all been outstanding this season.

Premier League: Liverpool VS Tottenham Again it came the hard way but again Jürgen Klopp’s Reds won

Once more, it comes the hard way again a penalty is essential but again Liverpool successes. After their long stretch of Premier League wins came to a conclusion at Old Trafford’s previous Sunday, the pacesetters required two second-half goals to arise from behind and beat Tottenham.
Henderson’s equalizer and a Mohamed Salah penalty means Jurgen Klopp’s sides keep on six points perfect at the summit. Football fans can book Premier League Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

Harry Kane’s initial goal exposed to disappoint all that. For Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino, becoming the first team to success at Anfield might have been a revolving point in their miserable start to the season.
But Spurs’ resolution was wrecked by Henderson at the start of the first half and their downfall was all but secure when Serge Aurier fouled Sadio Mané in the penalty area with 15 minutes. It was a luckless way to lose but trying to defend a lead in the flaw of Liverpool is a gamble that was never likely to pay off.
Kane's breakthrough came incidentally. Son's shot from the edge of the range bounced his way after refracting off Dejan Lovren and striking the woodwork, but Tottenham had prepared their own good luck. The move which led to the goal was excellent, keen counter-attacking.
After Henderson lost control in Tottenham's half, Moussa Sissoko surged through Liverpool's midfield, bypassing both Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho. He played in Kane and Son did well to anticipate the track of the South Korean's strike.
Tottenham now needed to care for their lead for one more 89 plus stoppage time. It every time seems like a tall order, mostly once Liverpool began to check Gazzaniga. Four saves in rapid succession denied them an equalizer, with Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Trent Alexander all frustrated.
Klopp said, that might easily have been intensified at the beginning of the second half. Gazzaniga turned playmaker with a long kick downfield in the direction of Son. He rounded Alison but was enforced wide by the Liverpool goalkeeper and, from a narrow position, might only hit the bar.
A two-goal lead would have been a completely diverse intention but Liverpool soon established the parity that their supremacy deserved. Disproving his status for safe and traditional play, Henderson had started taking up extra progressive positions down the right.

Aurier firstly won the ball from Mané, but is struggling to make a clearance; he hacked at the back of the Senegalese’s right leg. Referee Anthony Taylor was in no hesitation and Tottenham might have a few criticisms.
There were a handful of dawn worries for Liverpool as the shape of play inverted and they tried to grip out for three points. On the overall equilibrium of play, Klopp and his players deserved this victory, their third win beside a ‘top six’ club of the season.

Premier League: Pre-Match briefing Chelsea VS Manchester United

It will be a sold-out Stamford Bridge that greets a night of knockout cup act between two Premier League sides. Club historian Rick Glanvill and club statistician Paul Dutton afford our Carabao Cup fourth round promo.
At this stage of past seasons race, Chelsea was edge past a Derby side instructed by Frank Lampard and Jody Morris who had beaten tonight’s tourists Manchester United in the prior round. Football fans can book Premier League Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

English football’s two best popular clubs over the past decade and a half are drawn to square up in the League Cup for the fifth time, the best recent being on Halloween night 2012, a fourth-round draw that was full of actions and treats.
The Blues past season’s runners up are pointing to touch the League Cup quarter-final phase for the 23rd time in the club’s past, and the third successive season, on English football’s straight route to silverware.
Chelsea’s new away top score
The timepieces were twisted back last weekend and past repeated himself for Burnley as Chelsea knocked four past them for another term running on the same weekend.

It gave the Blue’s a seventh consecutive success in all rivalries for the first time since April and May 2017. An eighth win on the spin tonight would proceed us backward to November and December 2016 in Antonio Conte in the season we former won the league.
Saturday’s achievement also set a new record of slashing three or more goals in four succeeding away wins for the Blues. In that run, Frank Lampard’s squad has racked up 16 goals at Norwich three, Wolves five, Southampton four and now Burnley four, granting seven.
Manchester United on the road
If you want to win it the Carabao Cup you have to beat the best, Solskjaer observed after the round four draw matched these old foes for the fifth time in the competition. It slits politely into a couple of weeks with lots of traveling.
While Chelsea will journey to Watford on Saturday even, Manchester United is at Bournemouth for a mealtime kick-off the same day.

Their recent 1-1 draw with Liverpool was the Mancunian’s lone game on home earth since the start of October, and by initial November the Red Devils will have played four successive games out of a suitcase, with this the third.
Their 3-1 success at Norwich was a Sunday evening kick-off, handing Chelsea an additional day’s break and planning for this round four tie.
Chelsea variations
Both teams are probable to be dissimilar from the weekend 11s. The youth will have a fewer impact at Stamford Bridge this season meanwhile several are already starring for the team.
As well as conceivable chances for remarkable Academy graduates Billy Gilmour, Marc Guehi and Reece James the cup might provide energetic records for elders such as Olivier Giraud, Willy Caballero, and Emerson.
Upfront for Manchester United, Solskjaer may be extra loathing breaking up a winning formula he had pursued from the time of the end of September.
With Anthony Martial return from damage, summer signing Daniel James on the correct and Marcus Rushford the left, Manchester United have a visible three that can press high up the field or counter-attack with pace as was the case in contradiction of Chelsea in August.

With midfielder Paul Pogba lined out, there have been queries where the originality will come from and defensive organization has been operated upon. To help end Liverpool’s winning run recently Manchester United opening with a more careful back three/five.
The Manchester United coach has coded at fielding a young side tonight, with Brandon Williams and James Garner having some participation, and companion youths Tahith Chong and Mason Greenwood between other choices.
