Premier League: Marcelino travels to London and Niko Kovac also in town

According to a report, Marcelino traveled to London yesterday for what was rumored to be discussions with Arsenal about the vacant post of head coach. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
The Gunners are whittling down their shortlist of 643 names as they seek a replacement for Unai Emery who was fired the week before last. The former Valencia coach is one of the names on that list as we reported last week and his visit to London will add fuel to that particular fire.
It’s suggested in the article that he cannot manage another Spanish team this season, perhaps due to some contractual restriction over the terms of his departure from Valencia with whom he won the Copa del Rey last season.

He is also rumored to be in the frame for the Everton job as they look for somebody to replace Marco Silva. Meanwhile, Croatian Niko Kovac watched the Toffees beat Chelsea 3-1 on Saturday.
And he is expected to be at the London Stadium tonight, leading to speculation regarding him and the Arsenal job. The former Bayern Munich boss stepped down from his position at his former club in November, after a similar tenure there to Emery’s at Arsenal.
Marcelino Performances:
He did win a league and cup double in his full season in charge there, and crucially for a hierarchy that is not inclined to pay to extract a manager/coach from a position they currently hold, he is immediately available.
Kovac has also managed the Croatian national team, and Eintracht Frankfurt. Other reports suggest that Edu is pushing for former teammate Patrick Vieira to be given the job. On Friday, the current Nice coach said swatted away rumors linking him with a return to North London, saying,
“I get the feeling that it disturbs you more than me or the club. There is nothing to say about it, there is nothing serious, nothing real. I have no comments to make about that.”
Nice were 4-1 winners over Metz on Saturday, but have won just three of their last eleven games in Ligue 1 and currently sit 13th in the table.

Premier League: When will Arsenal start winning at home at least

Every football team always prides itself in its home form; a team may lose games away, but when it comes to playing at home, every team always wants to win; especially the big teams. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
Every team wants to win at home in front of their own fans; they want to hear their fans shout for joy whenever a goal is scored. Unfortunately, Arsenal cannot guarantee its fans such joy for now.
Where did it all go wrong? Why have we suddenly lost our invincibility at home? Gone are the Highbury days, when we crushed any team that came to our home. We showed no mercy in beating teams badly in front of our home fans; especially Premiership teams.
Then, any team coming to play Arsenal on their home turf would do so with so much fear and respect. These days, how do teams approach games against us on our ground? I wish I could tell you. Ever since we changed our home ground from Highbury to the Emirates….

We have found it difficult to maintain our record of winning at home. Teams have come to the Emirates to steal away precious points; they have come to Arsenal to wipe off the smiles from the mouths of Arsenal fans.
Arsenal fallen:
Teams no longer come to Arsenal with fear; rather they play Arsenal at home with the belief that they can win, and they often win. Oh my, how much has Arsenal fallen?
Our away from, for a while now, has been nothing to write home about but if we can’t get it right away, then why do we find it hard to get it right at home? I look forward to that time we will start winning at home again.
I look forward to that time we will make our home ground uncomfortable to the likes of Liverpool and Brighton. I look forward to that time every Arsenal fan can brag and make so much noise when we are playing at home because they know their team will not let them down.

Losing at home to teams like Frankfurt and Brighton is highly unacceptable and the Arsenal board needs to let this sink into their hearts if they eventually get to read my appeal.
We need to change drastically and we are appealing to Arsenal to please wake up and stop being a sleeping giant and at least start winning at home…

Premier League: Freddie promises to keep working as gloom deepens

Freddie Ljungberg says he’ll keep plugging away as he looks to get Arsenal back on track after Brighton became the latest side to take points at the Emirates. Football fanatics from around the world can obtain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.
Adam Webster’s strike nine minutes before half time was a just reward for the visitors’ early dominance against a Gunners side fraught with nerves.
While we fought back in the second half through Alex Lacazette’s headed equalizer, prospects of a first home win since October were killed off when Neal Maupay beat David Luiz in the box with 10 minutes remaining.
No wins in nine consecutive games represent our worst run of form since 1977. We’re 10th in the table, four points off relegation and ten adrift of the League places. We’ve also conceded 253 shots on goal this season, 15 more than champions Manchester City allowed against them all last season

Afterward, Ljungberg reflected: “If you score the first goal you don’t have to chase the game, you don’t have to open up as much because you can control the game so that’s something that, in my opinion, we need to change that a little bit.
Ljungberg reflected the condition:
“We won the balls but you’re right, when they ran at us it often ends with a shot on target. We’ve had one training session but we’ll keep on working.
He added: “It’s never easy when you sack a manager and you’re low on confidence.
“We started really well at Norwich. We started the second half really well and I was sure we were going to win the game and get going again.
“We get a sucker punch on a counter or as they play down one side. It’s hard to take but we keep plugging away.”
The fact that the club sacked Emery without a clear plan about what to do next, doesn’t bode particularly well. It’s almost like they were completely blind to the problems under the Spaniard until the ‘noise’ grew too much for them to ignore.
Since a week ago, a huge number of names have been touted to take the head coach role on a permanent basis, including Ljungberg’s. He says he’ll do whatever the club asks of him.
“It’s up to the club and what they want to do,” he said.
“There’s nothing I can get involved with I said I love this football club and I’ll help them with whatever they need help with and it’s up to them to make a decision.”

Premier League: One world class manager that Arsenal can cross off their wish list

Arsenal will miss out on Max Allegri after he rejects the chance to return to management until next June. Any plans Arsenal had to make former Juventus manager, Max Allegri their next manager has to be delayed by at least seven months. Football fans from around the world can attain Premier League Tickets online to enjoy its spectacular performances.
Allegri has been one of Arsenal’s top targets to become their new manager permanently, however, the Italian has ruled out a return to management soon. The Gunners are desperate to get a new permanent manager before they suffer more disaster this season.
Arsenal hasn’t won any of their last nine games despite having two managers in that time. Their latest 2-1 home loss to Brighton has seen them drop down to 10th on the league table and they are desperate to get a solid manager who can turn them into League spot challengers.

Allegri has just left Juventus after 5 years of dominance in the Italian top flight, but he insists that he is not in a hurry to take up his next managerial role. Allegri told: “In June. I don’t know if you can call it a sabbatical or not.
Allegri’s Talk:
“Giovanni Branchini Allegri’s agent and I immediately came to that decision. As soon as the relationship with Juventus came to an end the decision was to take a year out.
“I had 18 years as a player and I’ve been in coaching for 16. I stopped this year after 34. I’m happy.
“I have a chance to reflect, go and talk to people; do things in my private life that I’m passionate about like going to the theatre, some art exhibitions, reading books.
“Next the year will be an important year. Important for the choice I end up making and the need to be prepared for it.
“After a year out and five years at Juventus, I don’t want to go back into the game and do badly. That would do my head in.

“I am taking (English) lessons here in Milan. I manage to speak quite well. I find the listening part a bit more difficult.
“If I’m talking to someone who helps me out by speaking a little slower then I understand. I watch films and if I read something in English I understand it fine.”
This was always on the cards and at least we know now that it will not be the Italian taking up the reins at the Emirates. Hopefully, the club has others in mind that can help get us out of the mess we now find ourselves in.
